Many people, whether they are obese or not, think that they can achieve fitness without any hard work and without avoiding any unhealthy food. However, this is what you need to be doing to improve your own lifestyle.

Balanced diet

According to NHS, we should: “eat the right amount of calories for how active you are, so that you balance the energy you consume with the energy you use.” Furthermore, the NHS also suggests that we should: “Eat a wide range of foods to ensure that you’re getting a balanced diet and that your body is receiving all the nutrients it needs.”

Exercise

Doing exercise until you achieve increased breathing and heart rate can reduce “your risk of major illnesses, such as heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and cancer by up to 50% and lower your risk of early death by up to 30%.”

Play a sport

Physically, sport helps you lose weight, get a toned body and help you to increase your stamina. “Regular exercise also boosts self-confidence and mental concentration.”

Gadgets

You can buy gadgets like a Fitbit to measure your heart rate, speed, and distance, in order to know how many calories you are burning every time you exercise. They can also help you to know your routine for exercise.

Be active

Being “physically active can bolster good mental health and help you manage stress, anxiety and even depression.” Good mental health and less stress help you keep making improvements to your everyday lifestyle, which include a balanced diet, exercise, sport and other family relations etc. Being active is the most important one overall for better health and fitness before we do anything else.
