When did Fortnite become popular?

During November and December of 2017 and throughout the whole of 2018, Fortnite became one of the world’s fastest-growing games of all time.

In November 2018, average plays sky-rocketed by reaching 200 million players. However, Fortnite was on its way to becoming the world’s biggest game during July and August of 2018, when the game was already making over $100 million a month from in-game purchases.

How much money does Fortnite make?

In February of 2018, Fortnite made an estimated $126 million. Sounds like a lot, right? Well, the best was yet to come. This increased even further. In March 2018, the game made $223 million. By April 2018, that figure rose again…. to $296 million.

How does Fortnite make its money?

Fortnite makes most of its money from in-game purchases. These in-game purchases are mostly Vbucks, which are the in-game currency.

Many people use this currency to purchase skins. These change the appearance of the user interface, and most gamers purchase these in the Battle Royale mode of the game.
