Why Homework Is A Waste Of Time

I find homework an issue because I take too long and honestly, I just want to play video games and not care about school stuff when I’m at home after 6 or 7 hours of school. Especially on Fridays, when I have double maths and it’s the weekend - I feel we should have less or no homework.

It is stressful:

Homework, on the whole, is just too stressful to do, I personally hate doing homework I feel that it’s a waste of time and it just doesn’t help.

It does NOT help:

Homework is seen by teachers as a positive that students have to do because they believe that it will help students get the best grades they can. However, researchers have found that homework doesn’t help students get higher grades, unless its revision for a test.

It takes too long:

School is 6 hours long, and for Year 10s and 11s it can be 7-8 hours long. To go home and have to do EVEN MORE work, adding extra time to school, just takes free time away from students. They will be too stressed to be able to achieve anything.

It takes away valuable time:

Students spending too much time on homework can be less than beneficial as it takes away time for the students to learn new stuff. Also it takes away their “right” to do their hobbies.
