Known as “Pele in skirts”,  she was born in Brazil and is regarded as one of the best female players of all time, with her amazing skills, numerous goals, and leadership being famed.

Mia Hamm:

The USA legend finished with a world-record (at the time) 158 international goals when she retired in 2004.

Michelle Akers:

Also from America, she used to play as a forward, until she was diagnosed with chronic fatigue and immune dysfunction syndrome, when she moved to midfielder. Regardless, she helped the USA win both the 1991 and 1999 World Cups.

Bridget Prinz:

With Germany, she won two World Cups, won four European Championships, and scored 128 times. She was also voted World Player of the Year three times.

Sun Wen:

Born in China, she earned the Golden Ball and Golden Boot in the 1999 World Cup. She won the FIFA Player of the Century award in 2000, along with Michelle Akers.
