The transfer market in football is endlessly buzzing. Whether it is people joining clubs for free or record deals going through there is always something happening on the football scene.

1. Manchester City

Firstly, we go to Manchester City and the manager, Pep Guardiola. PSG have been accused of breaking Financial Fair Play rules when signing 18-year-old Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe on a year-long-loan. Guardiola is ready to snap Mbappe up if he becomes available for a transfer. Pep Guardiola is also interested in world-class centre midfielder from Bayern Munich, Thiago Alcantara. Thiago played under Guardiola when he was managing Barcelona. Guardiola has said: “Maybe next year, David maybe will not play every game, that’s why the squad has to be big”. Guardiola is desperate to make a reunion with the Spaniard for a vast £50,000,000.

2. Chelsea

Robert Lewandowski is the Bundesliga’s top goal-scorer having netted 27 this season. These incredible stats have clearly attracted big clubs in Europe, Chelsea being one of them. In the past, Antonio Conte (the manager of Chelsea) has complained about the number of strikers at the club after the departure of their main man, Diego Costa. After Giroud was signed in January, he has made 8 appearances (6 coming on as a substitute) and scored 3 goals in all competitions. Alvaro Morata’s form has dropped since joining Chelsea in the summer - Conte needs a good finisher up top, and Lewandowski could provide it. Chelsea are ready for an inquiry for Lewandowski.

Chelsea may also be ready to sign Brazilian left-back Alex Sandro. The deal has had speculation since summer, but Chelsea have been stalling on his asking price since. After signing ex-Roma left-back Emerson, Chelsea may not sign Alex Sandro.

3. Manchester United

Manchester United have come up as one of the richest clubs in world football, so how do they intend to spend their money? Our first story is from Leicester, as Jose Mourinho is ready to sign Harry Maguire, the central defender who has been in very good form since joining the Foxes. The 25-year-old would be ready to move up north to Manchester. Mourinho is also ready to sign Brazilian midfielder from Shakhtar Donetsk, Fred. Also 25, Fred admitted that it has been his dream to play in the Premier League. City are also ready to sign Fred, so both clubs are acting fast.

Another player that Mourinho wants to sign is one of Scotland’s best prospects, Kieran Tierney. At the young age of 20, Tierney has already got a space on the SPL champions Celtic’s starting eleven. He has so much potential to grow and Mourinho has a good eye for talent.

4. PSG

PSG are desperate to prove that they have not broken any Financial Fair Play rules with the signing of Kylian Mbappe. The club spent £200,000,000 on world-record transfer for Neymar, and questions have been asked about how they’ve been paying all other costs. Signing Mbappe was too suspicious for FIFA. PSG are now ready to buy a replacement for world-class talent Mbappe, with Bordeaux right winger, Malcolm. Malcolm has claimed that PSG is the club he wants to play for, so if PSG go for him, the deal has a high chance of going through.

5. Real Madrid

Real Madrid have done good business in the transfer market in the past. Brilliant signings like Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and more have shaped the club to be one of the best in the world. Now, they aren’t so active when the transfer window opens, but they could make three massive signings. Neymar Jr is at the top of Real Madrid’s shortlist. Although the probability is higher for him to stay, and if he does leave it would be likely he would return to Barcelona. However, Barcelona fans won’t want to be reminded of Neymar, the “snake” and “traitor”, as some fans think of him. Madrid have the money to snap him up, and Zinedine Zidane is ready to do just that. However, if this deal doesn’t go through, Real will always have a backup plan. Eden Hazard is on their list of players to sign and Hazard is stalling signing a contract deal, waiting for Los Blancos to make a move. However, Hazard’s form has dropped off, only scoring one goal in his previous fifteen, and Real Madrid are seeming like they will back out.

Real Madrid are also interested in Lewandowski, the player on Chelsea’s radar. When Madrid see a player in good form, they are always ready for a purchase in the transfer market. Chelsea’s possible deal could be hijacked.
