Personally, I love the fun in Bollywood movies. The fun in cuddling up on the sofa, with the lights dimmed, and all of us in silence the whole way through until the end (apart from my mum, who falls asleep halfway through the movie every time).
What are the top 5 Bollywood movies you should watch and why?
Of course, every Bollywood movie is a must-watch. The different genres, be it horror, romance, or a comedy are engaging and appealing. But to get you started, here are the top 5 Bollywood movies that should be in your watch-list: Dangal, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, PK, 3 Idiots, and Devdas.
Why are they full of songs?
For those of you who have already watched them, you know the emotion-filled ride from listening to these songs in overwhelming blockbusters! On average, there around 7-8 songs in a Bollywood movie. So, going back to the question, why are they full of songs? The emotions that flow through from the first song to the last are completely different. It all depends on what the movie genre is, and what scene of the movie the song relates to. One minute, the scene could be set as a death scene, playing some melancholy and depressing music. Whereas, there could also be a cheery and uplifting song to get you up on your feet! Here are a few of my favourites: Nashe Si Chadh Gayi from Befikre, The Humma Song from OK Jaanu, and Batameez Dil from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani
Actors and actresses in both Bollywood and Hollywood.
There are some actors and actresses that are both in the Bollywood and Hollywood entertainment industry. For example, Priyanka Chopra is by far one of my favourite people in the movie industry. She made her debut entry in 2008 in an Indian movie, and 10 years later, she has now made it to the screens in Hollywood. She has a crime series called Quantico, and had a huge role in Baywatch, alongside Dwayne Johnson and Zac Effron. Here are a few more: Amitabh Bachchan in “The Great Gatsby”, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in “ Bride and Prejudice”, Anil Kapoor in “Slumdog Millionaire”, Irfan Khan in “ Jurassic World” and “The Amazing Spiderman”.
