The Theme Of Death
Harry Potter books contain lots of themes, but the main one is the theme of death. The first book opens with the death of Harry’s parents. Harry has always been the villain Voldemort’s target ever since he was a baby. Voldemort is obsessed with conquering death, and Harry has been conquering death his whole life.
The Theme of Friendship
There is a very strong relationship between Harry, Hermione and Ron, who meet on the train at the start their first year in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Hermione is very intelligent and known as ‘teacher’s pet’, but becomes friends with Harry and Ron after they save her from a troll. The three friends break rules together and take risks together.
The Theme of Love
There are many loving relationships in the Harry Potter books. This includes Lily and James Potter, Harry’s parent, and Petunia and Vernon Dursley, who take Harry in after his mum and dad are killed. Meanwhile, Harry has a crush on Cho Change from the third book, Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban. Eventually, Ron and Hermione fall in love and become a couple.
