Southwark Business Closures Go Unchecked By Local Council
Council “do not hold information on businesses opening and closing.”
Southwark Council do not monitor how many businesses close down annually in Peckham.
The media literacy charity The Student View asked the council to share figures on “how many retail businesses, bars, and restaurants have opened and closed in Peckham in the last three years.”
However, the council were unable too, citing the fact that they “do not hold information on businesses opening and closing.”
The council declined the opportunity to respond.
