Thousands Wait Over 3 Weeks For GP Appointment In Hounslow

A total of 96,853 GP appointments in Hounslow were made more than three weeks after patients called the practice to make a booking between August 2018 and July 2019.

However, more than half of patients were seen within two days after booking an appointment to see their doctor and 451,973 appointments were on the same day of booking.

West Middlesex Hospital is below the national target of people being seen in at least 18 weeks, with 90.3% waiting less than the 92% NHS operational standard.

Hounslow CCG and West Middlesex Hospital were approached for comment.

The findings were made by the media literacy charity The Student View.
