Google.org partners with us
We have partnered with Google.org to place with local journalists in schools, creating ‘newsrooms’ for students. Our joint aim is to empower students to produce trusted news content online.
With the support of Google.org, we are scaling our newsrooms to schools beyond London to places including Liverpool, Manchester and Cardiff, as well as England’s social mobility ‘cold spots’. Our aim is to train young people to spot disinformation and create trusted local news content.
Overall, this project will reach 300 students throughout 30 schools across England and Wales over a two-year time period, with a specific focus on underserved communities.
